Hamburg GAA is a hurling, camogie, and Gaelic football club based in Hamburg, Germany. We are a member of the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) sports club, playing playing Irish sports hailing from Ireland’s ancient history.

Our Hurling, Camogie and Gaelic football training is located at the Hochschulsport Hamburg facilities, Turmweg 2, 20148 Hamburg. The closest U-Bahn stop is Hallerstrasse.

In the summer months we occasionally hold our training sessions in Stadtpark (53.594196, 10.018387)

For hurling and camogie we’ll be able to provide you with a hurl (the stick) and an appropriate helmet at training. It is required to wear a helmet while playing these sports.

A gum shield is required for playing Gaelic football. You can usually pick one up at your local sports stores.

The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) (Irish: Cumann Lúthchleas Gael) is an Irish and international amateur sporting and cultural organisation, focused primarily on promoting Gaelic games, which include the traditional Irish sports of hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, handball and rounders. The Association also promotes Irish music and dance, and the Irish language.
